How to Change Your Password

Overview

Changing your password regularly enhances security and protects your account from unauthorized access. Follow the steps below to update your password in Sentrido.

Steps to Change Your Password

1. Access the Password Change Screen:

   • Navigate to the User Profile page.

   • Locate the How you sign in to Sentrido section.

   • Click the Edit Password icon (pencil icon) next to the password field.
     

2. When Change Password pop-up opens, enter your Current Password:

   • In the Current Password field, type your existing password.

3. Set a New Password:

   • In the New Password field, enter a strong password between 12 and 100 characters.

   • Use a combination of four or five random words for better security (e.g., "horses can commandeer tanks").

   • Avoid reusing previous passwords.

4. Confirm Your New Password:

   • Re-enter your new password in the Confirm Password field.

5. Check for Password Security (Optional):

   • Enable the checkbox Check if my new password has been compromised to verify password security. 

6. Save Your Changes:

   • Click the SAVE button to update your password.

   • If you change your mind, click CANCEL to exit without making changes.

• Choose a password that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.

• Use a password manager to securely store and generate strong passwords.

• Change your password periodically for enhanced security.
