Managing Sentrido Discovery Client Scheduled Tasks on Windows

The Sentrido Discovery client for Windows can be configured to run periodically by creating a Scheduled Task. This allows the application to scan your network at regular intervals without manual intervention. You can update, disable, or delete this task at any time using the built-in Task Scheduler system application.


Setting Up Sentrido Discovery Client Scheduled Tasks

When installing Sentrido Discovery, you have the option to configure a schedule for network scans. Once configured, a Scheduled Task is created automatically to run the application according to your selected schedule. 

To reconfigure the schedule, simply re-run the Sentrido Discovery Installer and choose a different schedule.


Managing the Scheduled Task Using Task Scheduler

You can manage the Sentrido Discovery Scheduled Task through the Windows Task Scheduler application. Follow these steps:

Accessing Task Scheduler:

  1. Press Win + S and search for Task Scheduler.

  2. Open the Task Scheduler application.

Updating the Scheduled Task:

  1. In Task Scheduler, navigate to Task Scheduler Library in the left panel.

  2. Find the task named Run Sentrido Discovery Client.

  3. Right-click the task and select Properties.

  4. Go to the Triggers tab.

  5. Select the existing trigger and click Edit to modify the schedule.

  6. After making changes, click OK to save.

Disabling the Scheduled Task:

  1. In Task Scheduler, locate the Run Sentrido Discovery Client task.

  2. Right-click the task and select Disable.

Deleting the Scheduled Task:

  1. Locate the Run Sentrido Discovery Client task in Task Scheduler.

  2. Right-click the task and select Delete.
